Chad Brown has stamped himself as perhaps the top young trainer in the nation. Brown was just 29 when he saddled Maram to victory in the $1 million Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf at Santa Anita in 2008, and since then has trained G1 winners Zagora, Stacelita (FR), Desert Blanc (GB), Dayatthespa, Samitar (GB), Bobby’s Kitten, Lady Eli, Minorette, Stephanie’s Kitten, Real Solution, and Awesome Feather as well as the stakes winners Zivo, Leave The Light On, Expansion, Silver Timber, Tottie (GB), Big Blue Kitten, Corporate Jungle, Casino Host, Kya One (FR), and Watsdachances (IRE). A native of Saratoga, Brown learned from some of the best in the business. He got his start with Hall of Fame conditioner Shug McGaughey, and then moved on to be an assistant for another Hall of Famer, Bobby Frankel. During his time with Frankel, Brown worked with such racing luminaries as Ghostzapper, Ginger Punch, Intercontinental, Empire Maker and Medaglia D’Oro. In 2014 Chad was an Eclipse Award Finalist for Trainer of the Year.
