Chad Brown

Chad Brown has in a short period of time, become one of the nation’s top conditioners. A native of Mechanicville, N.Y, Brown learned from some of the best in the business. He got his start with Hall of Fame conditioner Shug McGaughey, and then moved on to be an assistant for another Hall of Famer, Bobby Frankel. In 2008, Brown was just 29 when he saddled Maram to victory in the $1 million Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf at Santa Anita, and he has since trained six more Breeders’ Cup winners. Brown was an Eclipse Award Finalist for Trainer of the Year in 2014 and 2015. He was the leading trainer in both wins and purse money on the NYRA circuit in 2015 and ranked second overall in purse money won in North America with $20.2 million. Brown earned his first Saratoga training title in 2016. The conditioner has over 1,000 winners in his career and has amassed over $90,000,000 so far in lifetime earnings. Chad has been an integral part of Bradley Thoroughbreds’ success having trained some of our top runners, including Champion turf filly Dayatthespa, a multiple Grade 1 winner whose career culminated with a win in the G1 Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Turf, Desert Blanc (GB) winner of the G1 Manhattan, Watsdachances (Ire) who garnered honors in the G1 Beverly D., and Dacita (Chi) winner of the prestigious G1 Diana at Saratoga this year.
