Watsdachances ran an outstanding race to finish second in the G2 Lake Placid last Wednesday July, 24th. She was beaten a 1/2 length by the improving Kitten’s Dumplings. She ran a career best 88 Beyer and 7 3/4 on the Ragozin sheets. The next possible spot will be the G2 Lake Placid on Sunday, August 18th.
Dayatthespa bypassed the G1 Diana due to needing more time after her last race in the G3 Eatontown at Monmouth. She will either run in the $150,000 Yaddo Stakes on Friday, August 16th or the G2 Ballston Spa on Saturday, August 24th. Below is a video of her working 5 furlongs on the turf at Saratoga on Saturday, July 27th. She went 5 furlongs in 59.4 galloping out in an impressive :12 flat!
On the two-year-old front Zloty (2011 f. by Exchange Rate out of A.P. Reality) and Instrumental (2011 f. by City Zip out of Lizzie Toon) are working very well in Saratoga. BT and partners are hoping to run both of them by the end of the meet. Zloty most recently worked 5 furlongs on the turf on Monday, July 29th in 1:01.66. Trainer Chad Brown was very impressed with how she went. Instrumental worked 3 furlongs in 37.11, handling her third 3/8ths in good fashion.
Sapphire Blue is entered in the 5th race on Friday, August 2nd. The $60,000 Maiden Claiming Race going 1 mile on the turf will be a good spot for her. She has drawn the #3 in a field of 9 with Javier Castellano aboard. Good luck to her Co-Owners!
