SORPRESA – Bradley Thoroughbred Brokerage brokered the sale of the broodmare SORPRESA (Pleasant Tap) in May of 2009, when her daughter Sahpresa (Sahm) was a listed winner in Europe. Five months later, Sahpresa reached much greater heights, taking down the G1 Sun Chariot S. over G1 1000 Guineas heroine Ghanaati. Third in that year’s G1 Mile Championship in Japan, Sahpresa added the G3 Prix du Pin in 2010, then successfully defended her title in the Sun Chariot, becoming just the second mare to do so in the history of the race. A fine third to Beauty Flash (NZ) in the G1 Hong Kong Mile at Sha Tin in December of 2010, Sahpressa was back in training in 2011 and collected a fourth group victory in the G3 Prix du Palais-Royal.
