The 4-year-old HAILEY D’ORO, who was bred by Bradley Thoroughbred Brokerage, looked like a filly with a big future when she debuted a 6 1/2-length winner sprinting six panels at Churchill as a juvenile in October of 2010. She subsequently missed much of her 3-year-old year, but again stamped herself as a filly to watch with a good-looking optional claiming victory today at Fair Grounds. Returning from 10 months on the sidelines, the Stonestreet Farm colorbearer was eager early and carved out honest :22.53 and :45.47 fractons. Put to the test down the lane, she kept finding more under Robby Albarado and safely accounted for favored Hidatsa by a half-length.
