Miss Liberty Becomes Stakes Placed In 2nd U.S. Start

Miss Liberty (FR) garnered her first U.S. black type in her second State side start on Saturday in the $85,000 Genuine Devotion Stakes at Belmont Park. Purchased in France by Bradley Thoroughbreds on behalf of owners George Bolton and Peter Leidel, Miss Liberty was a twice listed stakes winner in France. On Saturday she showed that she plans on continuing her successes here. She was three wide and close up through the first five furlongs and from the top of the stretch she kicked home with a big rally. About two lengths from the wire she was forced to steady abruptly when the winner, Going to Kukaro drifted in to her path. All in all it was a very impressive effort by Miss Liberty (FR)!
