Big Thanksgiving Week for Bradley Thoroughbreds

As the long Thanksgiving weekend approaches it is shaping up to be a big one for Bradley Thoroughbreds and partners. BT will enter four horses in races across the country over the four day holiday weekend. The BT fillies will be contesting a maiden race, two G3’s, and a G1.

Thanksgiving Day

The first one up is French import KYA ONE (FR) who will compete on Turkey Day at Calder Racecourse in the [G3] My Charmer Stakes going 1 1/8th. After being imported from  France she finished 5th her first time out in the [G3] Noble Damsel behind Naples Bay a horse she will face again on Thursday. The Noble Damsel was contested at 1 mile and the extra 1/8th of a mile in the upcoming My Charmer Stakes should be more to Kya One’s liking.

Premier Steps (2010 filly by Footstepsinthesand out of Primissima) was imported from England in September and placed in Chad Brown’s barn. Chad was immediately impressed by this filly and began looking for a race for her. The [G3] Miesque seemed to fit perfectly timing wise and will be a great U.S. debut for this filly.

Sunday

Last but certainly not least Dayatthespa will contest the [G1] Matriarch going 1 mile on the turf at Hollywood Park on Sunday, November 25th. She is 5 for 5 this year and last out went wire to wire in the [G1] Queen Elizabeth II Challenge Cup at Keeneland. She will put her perfect 2012 record on the line against older fillies and mares for the first time. Her regular rider Javier Castellano will fly out to ride the filly. This will be her last race for 2012 before taking a break and gearing up for a 2013 campaign. Whatever happens on Sunday it has been one great ride this year with “Spa”!
