A Look Back on Watsdachances 2nd Place Breeders Cup Finish

Watsdachances ran a determined second in the [G1] $1,000,000 Breeders Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf on November 2nd at Santa Anita. After breaking mid pack and settling around the first turn jockey Javier Castellano put her in good position down the back stretch. When they turned for home she was forced to go four wide and made a sweeping move towards the front of the pack. She was passed late by Flotilla (FR) but fought hard for second.

The group was very proud of her second place performance. She came back from her gutsy effort  missing a shoe and with a few cuts but no worse for the wear. Since being imported from Ireland she has done everything asked of her. In her U.S. debut she won the $100,000 P.G. Johnson at Saratoga. Then came back to win the $150,000 [G3] Miss Grillo Stakes which was a “Win and You’re In” race for the Breeders Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf. She is in Florida soaking up some sun now and taking a break before her 3yo campaign. We are all looking forward to watching her next year!
