Old Fashioned Filly Sells for $300,000 at OBS March

The third highest female juvenile of the day on day one of OBS March was Hip #171 2011 f. by OLD FASHIONED out of BABY BETTY. She was originally purchased for $75,000 at the Fasig-Tipton July yearling sale by the BT Pinhook Venture. She previewed in 10.1 and looked exceptional doing it. There were multiple bidders on the filly and agent Steve Young came away with the filly for a final price of $300,000. Baby Betty is a half sister to Stakes winners Heidi Maria and Doc’s Doll.

Both horses were consigned by Eddie Woods. Good luck to the new connections of these nice two-year-olds! The sale got off to a strong start yesterday and we are hoping for more of the same today.
