The BT 2016-2017 Pinhook Venture has added seven very athletic yearlings to the roster at the Keeneland September Yearling Sale.
The venture purchased its first yearling of the sale during the third session, going to $110,000 to secure hip 421 (click here for pedigree), a colt by first-crop sire Orb. Orb won the G1 Kentucky Derby and G1 Florida Derby during his racing career. The chestnut colt is out of the stakes winner and graded stakes placed Jaramar Rain, who has produced five winners from eight foals of racing age including G2 Peter Pan S. runner-up Imperial Council and the stakes-placed Minesave and Monopolize. Bradley Thoroughbreds secured hip 695 (click here for the pedigree) for $230,000 on Saturday at Keeneland. The flashy bay is by Bernardini and is a half-brother to multiple Grade 2-winning millionaire Gotta Have Her, as well as the stakes-placed Haka Girl. The dam, Winnowing is a half-sister to French group winners Lady Blessington (Fr) and Lowell, as well as stakes winner Red Cat and stakes placed Lady Thynn (Fr). While we stretched to get this colt he is an exceptional physical and has a huge upside at the two-year-old sales if he looks the part on the track. Click here for a walking video.
