WATSDACHANCES got her first win of the year on Saturday, November 9th winning the Summer Secretary Stakes at Aqueduct by a neck. She has been G2 placed twice this year and finished a game fourth in the G1 Garden City in September. This was a well deserved win!
She broke well and settled in sixth around the first turn, while ROSES FOR ROMNEY and MARIEL N KATHY set fractions of 24:40 and 49.20 twelve lengths ahead of the rest of the field.These tepid fractions and big lead made the Watsdachances ownership group more than a little nervous! When the field turned for home she started picking them off one by one and in true “Chances” style made a dramatic stretch run to win by a neck. She is one game filly!
