Premier Steps (IRE) made a return to the races on Friday, January 31st after an 8 month layoff finishing 2nd at Santa Anita. The first level allowance race going 6 1/2 on the hillside turf course had 10 contenders. Premier Steps broke a step slow spotting the field a few lengths. Rider, Gary Stevens moved her in to position after making the right turn sitting third on the inside. When the field hit the dirt portion of the track and straightened for home Premier Steps made a move gaining ground on the leader ZIA ZIA ZIA. She edged REMISE (AUS) for 2nd but was unable to pass the leader.
Premier Steps (IRE) ran a career best 90 Beyer and 7 1/4 Ragozin. Looks like this filly is back and in top form!
