Bradley Thoroughbreds Pinhook Graduate FIRING LINE (2012 c. by LINE OF DAVID out of SISTER GIRL BLUES) ran a very solid 2nd first time out on October 25th. This proved to be a good effort when winner ALRIGHT ALRIGHT came back to be 2nd in the (G3) Bob Hope Stakes at Del Mar three weeks later.
On November 30th FIRING LINE broke his maiden by 4 1/2 lengths going 6 1/2 furlongs at Del Mar. He broke well but was bumped early. Jockey Mike Smith found an inside spot for him to settle down the backstretch. When the field turned for home FIRING LINE took command at the 1/8th pole and never looked back, with one tap of the whip by Mike Smith, he was home clear.
FIRING LINE was purchased for $150,000 as a yearling and resold for $240,000 as a two-year-old in training through Eddie Woods’ Consignment.
