Two-time Chilean champion Dacita (Chi) (Scat Daddy), winner of this year’s GI Diana S., has been scratched from Monday’s Fasig-Tipton November Sale, Bradley Thoroughbreds and Sheep Pond Partners announced Thursday. Most recently beaten a nose by Rainha da Bateria (Broken Vow) in the GII Canadian S. at Woodbine Sept. 17, the 5-year-old mare is set to train on in 2017.
“Dacita came out of the Canadian S. with a bruised foot and as a precautionary measure we entered her in the Fasig Tipton November Sale,” Peter Bradley said. “Fortunately, Dr. Larry Bramlage gave her a clean bill of health this past week and she has been scratched from the sale. The co-owners are excited to continue racing this special filly and we look forward to her 2017 campaign.”
The champion 2- and 3-year-old filly and a treble Group 1 winner in Chile, Dacita outfinished Tepin (Bernstein) to win the 2015 GII Ballston Spa S. in her U.S. debut and won this year’s GII New York S. ahead of her Diana conquest. The chestnut mare has compiled a record to date of 16-9-3-1 and has earnings of $1,012,769.
