GENERAL ANN (2012 f. by COLONEL JOHN out of NEVER YIELD) won impressively in her second outing at Gulfstream park on Friday, March 20th. She broke well under Edgard Zayas and found the rail quickly around the first turn. UNFORGETTABLE MARK (IRE) set honest fractions of :23.1, :46.4 for the half mile, and six furlongs in 1:10.4. GENERAL ANN made a nice move at the 3/8ths pole under Zayas gaining the third position as the field turned for home. She made a nice move and hit the front with a 1/16th remaining, once she took the lead she drew clear easily to win by 2 1/4 lengths.
She earned a 76 Beyer in her win. She is a half sister to Stakes Winner BUNKER HILL, winner of $448,619.
