BT Pinhook Grad Moanin Wins in Japan

Bradley Thoroughbreds’ Pinhook Venture graduate MOANIN (2012 c. by HENNY HUGHES out of GIGGLY) broke his maiden on Saturday, May 16 at Kyoto Racecourse in Japan.

Under jockey Kohei Matsuyama, the colt broke clean, and ran in third for much of the race until they made their move at the final turn. He easily pulled away and won by an impressive five lengths on a sloppy dirt track. The race was 1400 meters or 6 furlongs.

MOANIN was purchased by the Bradley Thoroughbreds’ Pinhook Venture for $90,000 as a yearling at the Fasig-Tipton Saratoga New York Bred Yearling Sale and sold for $335,000 as a Two-Year-Old in Training at OBS in March 2014 from the Eddie Woods’ Consignment. He is currently owned by Yukio Baba and trained by Sei Ishizaka.
